The Kashmir Heritage Duo brings together two illustrations inspired by the landscapes, language, memories, and quiet everyday beauty of Kashmir. One carries the enduring symbol of the Chinar leaf; the other captures a boatman crossing the waters of the Dal Lake beneath the Zabarwan Hills. Together, they form a small collection about belonging, remembrance, and the feeling of carrying home wherever you go.

The Chinar Heritage Tote -“Kashir Chai Kaeshren Hinz” centres around the Chinar leaf, with a shikara, the Zabarwan Hills, and birds woven delicately into its veins. Beneath it are the words “Kashir Chai Kaeshren Hinz” (Kashmir belongs to Kashmiris), a reminder that a homeland lives not only in geography, but in language, traditions, memories, and the stories passed from one generation to another.

The Print Club Kashmir Tote brings together another familiar Kashmir: a lone boatman rowing his shikara across the Dal, the Zabarwan Hills rising behind the Hazratbal Shrine, and a traditional Kashmiri home resting along the shore. Drawn in a single black line, it captures the quiet Kashmir of slow mornings, still waters, handwritten letters, familiar skylines, and ordinary days that somehow became unforgettable.

Together, the two artworks tell a shared story.

One is about roots; the other is about remembering them. One carries the Chinar, the symbol of an enduring home; the other carries the journey back to it.
